Description :	La Vierge est agenouillée près de son prie-Dieu, sur lequel est posé un livre ouvert ; l'archange Gabriel est à demi agenouillé sur une nuée, un lys dans la main gauche, la droite levée désignant le ciel. Au premier plan est représenté une corbeille d'osier contenant du linge et au sommet de la toile figurent la colombe du Saint-Esprit, dans une lueur dorée qui s’élève puis cinq angelots dans les nuages. C’est le moment où l’ange Gabriel annonce à Marie qu’elle sera la mère de Jésus (Saint Luc, I, 26-38).
