Historique :	Cette dalle funéraire datée du 5 juin 1556 est l'un des rares vestiges de l'ancienne église romane de Beaumont-Village (démolie en 1949) : elle se trouvait alors dans le mur nord de la nef. La dalle est aujourd'hui conservée dans la nouvelle église achevée en 1970. Julien Darveau devait vraisemblablement être un personnage important sur le plan local, puisqu’il avait obtenu le droit d’être inhumé dans l’église. C’est aussi le nom du plus ancien paroissien connu pour le village. Les registres paroissiaux de Beaumont-Village n'étant pas conservés avant 1585.
