Description :	Teck. La baratte a la forme d'un grand tonneau en teck cerclé de métal, comportant une grande porte sur le flanc pour retirer le beurre, et deux trous, un sur chaque côté plat, qui servaient sans doute à évacuer le petit lait. Elle est posée, d'un côté, sur un support à deux pieds, en fonte et est fixée de l'autre côté sur le volant d'un carter métallique, comprenant les commandes et abritant les engrenages, sur lequel est fixé un petit moteur pour les faire tourner.

Historique :	Fabriquée en Suède, comme l'indiquent des plaques sur le moteur et le carter, cette grande baratte servait avec une autre identique à battre le beurre dans l'ancienne laiterie de Ligueil. Après avoir cessé d'être utilisée à Ligueil, cette baratte a été cédée à la laiterie de Dangé-Saint-Romain (Vienne). Elly a servi pendant quelques temps de machine à laver le linge de la laiterie (F. Schoenstein).
