Historique :	Certainement une statue originale. Elle semble provenir du même atelier que la statue de saint Marc, dans la même église, qu'une statue de saint Pierre, dans l'ancien presbytère de Vou, et que trois statues (saint Pierre, saint Paul et saint Martin) de l'église de Ligueil. Acquisition probable de l'abbé Baranger, curé de La Chapelle-Blanche dans les années 1830 avant d'être curé de Ligueil, où il acquit les trois statues évoquées ci-dessus en 1838 (F. Schoenstein).

Précision_sur la representation :	Le saint porte une robe verte et un manteau rose. IL a une barbe noire et tient des clefs noires dans sa main droite. Sa main gauche au pouce brisé, devait également tenir un objet qui a disparu. Le saint, pieds nus, est debout sur une terrasse carrée peinte en gris.
